Try this simple and easy recipe where no syrup or पाक , चाशनी is needed. You can make Ladoo or Vadi as per your choice. Ingredients... 1 Cup...150 ml *Til without polish...2 cups *Finely chopped Jaggery... 1 Cup  Method.... *Roast Til in a kadhai on low flame, sauting continuously to remove it's raw flavour.  Take care not to over roast it.  Let it cool. *In a mixer jar add roasted Til and Jaggery, grind till it becomes powder. *Put in a wide based pan and mix thoroughly with the help of your hands. *Roll in small Ladoo. *You can eat one small Ladoo daily. Ingredients...

For Vadi...
*Chickpea flour...1/2 Cup...200ml
*Oil... 4 tbspn
*Salt... 1tsp
*Red Chilli powder...1 tsp
*Turmeric powder...1/2 tsp
*Poppy seeds...2 tsp
*Ginger paste...1/2 tsp
*Garlic paste...1/2 tsp
*Chopped Coriander... 1 tbspn
*Water...1/2 Cup...200ml
Method...
*Mix chickpea flour, Salt and water without forming lumps.
*Dry roast poppy seeds and keep aside.
*Heat Oil in a Pan add Ginger paste, Garlic paste and Turmeric Powder. *Saute for a minute.
*Add Red Chilli Powder and Chickpea flour mix. Mix properly. *Gas flame should be medium.
*Stir  constantly till it forms into a nice lump.
*Spread this in a pre greased Plate evenly, spread roasted Poppy seeds and Coriander also.
*When it cools , cut into shape of your choice.
*Our Vadi is ready.

Rice...
Ingredients...
*Raw Rice... 1/2 Cup...200ml
*Water for cooking...1 Cup ...400ml... Double the quantity of Rice
Method...
*Wash Rice twice with a clean water.
*Add water and pressure cook on high flame for one whistle.
*Switch off the Gas.

For Tempering...
*Oil...4 tbspn
*Mustard Seeds...1/2 tsp
*Asafoetida Powder...1/4 tsp
*Dry Red Chillies...4 broken.
Method...
*Heat Oil in a small Iron Kadhai or Tadka pan, add Mustard Seeds, let it splutter.
*Add Asafoetida Powder and broken Red Chillies.
*Switch off the Gas.

Tamarind Sar
*Tamarind ... Lemon size
*Jaggery...1/2 of Tamarind size.
*Oil...2 tbspn
*Red Chilli Powder...1/2 tsp
*Salt...1 tsp
*Curry leaves...8
*Turmeric powder...1/4 tsp
*Asafoetida Powder...1/4 tsp
*Mustard Seeds... a pinch
*Chopped Coriander...1 tbspn
Method...
*Clean Tamarind, remove all threads and seeds. Soak in one Cup water for 30 minutes.
*After 30 minutes mash it properly and make a Pulp. Remove all the skins of Tamarind.
*Now heat Oil in a Pan, add Mustard Seeds, after it splutters add Asafoetida Powder,Turmeric Powder and Curry leaves.
*Saute for few seconds. Add Red Chilli Powder and Tamarind Pulp.
*Saute properly, add 3 Cups Water, Jaggery and Salt.
*Boil on medium flame for five minutes.
*After five minutes, switch off the Gas. Add chopped Green Coriander.
Serving...
In a plate serve Rice, add 4 Vadi, mash it little bit, add one teaspoon Tadka, Mix properly. Eat it with Tamarind Sar.
